Ken Oliver Liquid Metals Review (Guest Designing for Lulupu)

Hey Friends & Crafty Peeps,
This is Riti Poddar here today on The Lulupu Blog and am Super Excited & Happy to be Guest Designing!! Thank You Karuna & the entire team of Lulupu to have given me this wonderful opportunity to showcase my work & style using the "Ken Oliver - Liquid Metals"

I will not be going into further details about the product as My fellow Crafter Jaya Raghuvanshi has already Posted about the same in details. If you missed her post here is the link.
I made a few projects using thes fabulous Liquid Metals..
And I Have a Video Tutorial for you all at the end of this post !

My 1st project is this pretty Watercolored Card:

I have Used my Ken Oliver Liquid Metals to watercolor the heat embossed image from Altenew Stamp Set - Persian Motifs
The colors blend in beautifully with one another. Not only with the Liquid Metals , but they also blend beautifully with the Ken Okiver Color Bursts!! And once the image dried up the results were just superb.. The shimmer was so pretty!

My Next Project was this beautiful Wine  Bottle that I altered.

I used my Ken Oliver Liquid Metal - Copper on the bottle. My first step was to Wash & remove the Label from the Wine Bottle with warm soapy water. Next I prepped the bottle with multiple coats of Gesso. Once Dry, .I Squeezed the Liquid Metal in Copper along with American Crafts Gold Paint onto my Bottle Surface & allowed it to drip & used my Stippling brush to cover the desired areas on the bottle to give it some texture!! Once  was happy with the coverage, I dried it using my Ranger Heat Gun !
Lastly, I adhered some SOS Peso Flowers (Fabric ones), A Semi-Precious Stone Pendant with a chain and tied some Jute string around the Neck of the bottle !! And I was done !! It looks far better in Real Life...the Sheen from the Liquid Metal, on the bottle was just so brilliant !!

Lastly I made this Mixed Media Canvas

I enjoyed using My Ken Oliver Liquid Metals so very much & This Canvas is
So special to me !! Check out the Video below to know how I made this Canvas from Start-to-finish!!

Hope you All Enjoyed these projects !!
Would Love to Get your Valuable Comments & Suggestions,
Please Feel Free to ask if you have any queries about these projects,
I'll be more than Glad to answer them !

Have a Lovely Day !

Sweet Treats For You OCC Clear & Sheer

Here's My 2nd Card for the Day !! I will be linking this to the Onilne Card Class ' Clear & Sheer' Gallery - Day 2.

A whole lotta layers have been used to make this card ! The Card Base is a Neenah Solar White, on which a Silver Craft Paper has been attached leaving 1/4" margin on top & bottom. Next I have attached a Cupcake Design Pattern Paper to which I have adhered Vellum ( I die cut a scallop border at the edge of the vellum for some interest, using my Stitched Scallop Die - Lawnfawn)
Next I stamped & Fussy Cut a few Cupcakes & stand using my WPLUS9 Stamp Set - 'Sweets & Treats". I used my Altenew Crisp Inks for these. I doodled some sprinkles on the cupcakes & stuck a cherry sticker to one of them !
I die cut a 'Stitched rectangle frame' from a SSS die & stuck the cupcakes. Next I used my Foam Dots to stick the frame on the left. The Thin strip is heat embossed using SSS-Wide stripes stamp and Ranger : liquid platinum Embossing Powder & then I distressed the blank stripes using my Distress Inks. For the Sentiment, I used Altenew Stamp Set - 'Label Love' & Hero Arts Shadow Ink - Wet Cement' & Altenew Crisp Ink : Frosty Pink & Pop Dotted the same !
Lastly, I added a bow, Sequins & Rhinestones to finish the card !!

Hey Friends !!!

Best MOM in the World

Hello Friends,
I back here to Blogging after a long time!! sorry for being MIA!!!
Well Since Mother's Day is round the corner,  I have a Card to share with you all today, which I made for my Mom!!

I have also registered myself for the 'Clear & Sheer' Class at Onlinecardclasses, and got inspired to create this card from the lessons taught there !! Although I joined in late & have been keeping very busy with other stuff I managed to create 1 card for the Gallery & since I used both Acetate & Vellum on my card I will be posting it under the 4th day Gallery !!

Here's what I came up with !!

The Top Left Rectangle Frame Die Cut (from Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Rectangle Die) has been mounted on a shaker pocket that I made using my WRMK Fuse Tool ,Scrapbook Page Protector & filled it with Sequins & Beads !!
The Floral Stamped die-cut is from 'Clearly Besotted Set& I colored it using my Copic Markers.
For the Sentiment I Heat Embossed it using my Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder on Vellum& the sentiment stamp is from 'Wild Hibiscus' Stamp set by Altenew.
The card base has been distressed using 'Mowed Lawn' & 'Twisted Citron" Distress Inks & Prima Marketing 'Grunge Grid' Stencil !

I quite liked the Vellum & acetate together !! The shaker card gives it a fun element whereas the Vellum makes it look super elegant !!

Thanks for stopping by,
Have a Nice Day !
Hugs

Hey Friends, I am Guest Designing for Tic Tac Toe Challenge #7 !!!

Hi Friends !! I am Riti Poddar and I'm so excited & honored to be here as the Guest Designer. I'm from India & I have been crafting since I was a little girl. I enjoy Paper Crafting of all kinds..from Card Making to Scrapbooking, Altered Art to Mixed Media I love them all! I love trying out New Techniques with different types of Inks, mediums & other supplies!!  I also have found my New Love in Planners.. and I just bought one for 2016 and I'm loving it !

Well for the Current Challenge I Chose the Top Most Row with 'Bunny + Pocket + Tag'

and I came up with this Huge Tag !!

The Tag measures 8"x 5"...I told ya it's a Huge Tag !! I cut it out from a heavy chipboard.
The die cuts - Bunny, Flowers & Carrot have been cut on my Cricut Expression, using the 'Create A Critter' Cartridge. I pop dotted the layers for the extra dimension & also distressed it using my distress inks. I did some doodling on them using my Signo White & Black Gel pens to add some interest ! The pocket has been hand drawn & cut using some pattern papers from my stash !
I also added some Faux Stitched Lines using my Gel Pens all around the Pocket & Tag.
I stamped the Sentiment from the Oh Deer" Clear Stamp Set from 'Your Next Stamp'
using my Opaque White Stazon Ink. I also added a little Pink Cardstock & punched it using my Martha Stewart All over the Page Punch - 'Bubble Bath' & added a couple of twine for the bow!!
Lastly I added a cute button on the bow to finish my Tag!!
This was so much fun to make. I hope you like it & will take this challenge !!

Gracielle Design New Release & Giveaway

“It is time for a new blog hop featuring Graciellie Design’s Digital Stamp. You must have found your way here from Lisa's Blog. If not, then go to the Beginning of the Hop here

Gracie’s stamps are so versatile and today I have the chance to share a card with you using one of her new sets called "Guide the Helm”.
This is what the Stamp Set looks like : isn't it just Beautiful !?!

 Displaying GuidetheHelmCO.png

The minute I saw this Stamp I knew I wanted to create a CAS card using this pretty Image of the Helm & flowers.

I printed out Several sheets of this image on a Glossy Cardstock using my Laser Printer . I used a couple of the print outs for fussy cutting the flowers and I used another one on my navy layer. I used a Navy Cardstock & scored a border all around leaving ¼” margins at regular intervals.
This gave me a clean & crisp background for my Image !
On the Main Printout I double Pop Dotted the Top-Most flower to give it maximum dimension & then using a single pop-dot I mounted the flower on the left for medium dimension. In this manner I had 3 flowers in 3 different dimensions. Take a closer look here...

My last step was to mount this Navy Layer on a 6”X6” White Card !!
I hope you liked this simple & easy to make card with lots of dimension !!

I have another project for you using another Awesome Digi Stamp by Gracielle Design’s April Release. It’s called “ The Journey” and It’s my Most favourite of this release !!
This is what it Looks like :

For this Art Journal Page,

I prepped it up using a thin layer of Gesso & then used my Design Memory Craft Gelatos to add color to the background. Once I was happy with my background I used my ‘Dreamweaver – Glossy White Embossing Paste & TCW – ‘Mini Chevron Arrows’ Stencil by Balzer’s Designs to give some stencilled effect. My next step was to randomly stamp using ‘Jet Black- Archival Ink” & the postal images using “Blue Fern Studios” Stamp set – Postal Textures and also to create the stamped border around the Page  !!
I also stamped some leaves at the bottom of my page –“E5568” from Impression Obsession (Leaves) & outlined it with my Faber Castell PITT Brush Pen.
Next I used the “Bird Image & the Sentiment by Gracielle Design (printed on a glossy cardstock on my Laser Printer) & adhered it on the art journal page using Gel Medium in Matte by Ranger. Once dry, I used my Gelato - "Chocolate" to outline the adhered images & smudged it using my finger.

Lastly, I distress the edges using Gelatos & I was done !! It was so much fun creating this page using this pretty bird image...

Do leave some Love in the comment section below if you liked what I created with these awesome stamps !!

I used my Next Level Embossing Folders by WRMK for the first time (It has been lying around unopened every since) and I must say I just Love the Deep Embossing/Debossing. Adds so much dimension to the card in real life. You have to see it to believe it !

I scored some lines on my card base on the left using my MS Scor board with every 1/8th" to add some interest & Tied some Organza Ribbon & Twine !
Next I adhered the Embossed Panel on the Card base & then Pop-Dotted the Image Panel.
Lastly I tucked the Sentiment Strip under the Image Panel & added a few sequins.

Smile Please

Hello Crafty Peeps,
I'm here with a fun Pastel Card (perfect for the Eater Season).
For the background I just watercolored random sizes of circles. I cut a 4 1/2" X 6" Top folding card which I cut at the base using my Lawnfawn Stitched Scallop Border Die.
The focal Point of my card is the Cute Camera Image from the Winnie & Walter Stamp Set - The Write Stuff:Picture Perfect. It has been fussy cut & Glossy accents have been added on the lens with a bit of sparkle ! The sentiments have been moulded into a semi-circular shape & then stamped on the circles !! I finished the card by adding a few sequins here& there and some Doodling using my FineTip 0.1 marker ! I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color the circles & camera !

I Stamped & Fussy Cut a Few More Cameras & Made them into Paper Clips for my Planner.
Ain't they too cute!!
