Diwali Card for Hubby !!

Hey Friends... Here's  a Diwali Card for my Husband. It was a quick one... I just squeezed out a little time to make this. The diya has been hand pieced. The Patterned paper is from a Paper Pad that I picked from Bangkok. Card stock is Fabriano - Elle Erre. The sentiment has been hand written using my Signo White Gel Pen. The embellishment stone is from my stash. The twine is by Pink Paislee DAILY JUNQUE Twine.
Thanks for Looking.. and Happy Diwali to ALL of YOU !! Have a Super Dhamakedaar but a Safe Diwali!

I am entering this card for a challenge at Wee Memories Challenge #73. Check out the blog here.

Hugs,
Riti

Happy Diwali !!

Hello Friends,
Wishing You ALL A Very Happy Diwali. May this Festival Of  Lights bring in your lives Light, Prosperity & Success. Now for those friends who do not know about Diwali. Here's a little info:

Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the important  festival celebrated in India. It is a celebration of lights, and for many, it is truly a sensory experience; some families decorate their houses with all sorts of lights and open up to the friends, relatives & neighbors, sharing their love and their food.

Those celebrating Diwali spend time with family and friends. They perform religious ceremonies to bring in wealth and prosperity for a new year, cook and eat delicious food, design rangolis or alpanas (ladies & girls draw traditional designs at their doorstep using powdered colors, powdered rice, flower petals etc), light up their lives by lighting diyas (small earthen lamps), candles and  fireworks. Some people also enjoy playing Cards on Diwali night.

Diwali is celebrated in honor of the lord Rama, who on this day returned from a 14 years of forest exile .

I enjoy decorating my entire house with Diyas & Making rangolis & look forward to bursting crackers & playing cards with friends & family.
